J ' PALMERSTON; NORTH, Wednesday. The hockey challenge shield match: played here to-day between Canterbury and - Manawatu resulted in the Southern challengers jecuring the shield by six goals to two. The game was fairly even, with Canterbury having the better of th combined passages.
