RUGBY TEST BATCHES.
MATTER OF GROUND CHARGES [BT TELEGRAPH.—PBESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN. Monday. The Otago Rugby Union- discussed the question of ground charges at a meeting of the committee to-night; when it was decided to charge 25 per cent, of the gross takings for the test match on Carisbrook on August 25. It was decided to notify the Southland, South Canterbury, and Canterbury Unions of the decision arrived at, and to request that they insist on the same charge. ' • A telegram was received from the New Zealand Rugby Union stating that it was strongly of opinion that the tests should not be played on grounds where the charges exceeded 20 per cent, of the gross takings. ■•':; ; ' - <
