BANKRUPT DISCHARGED.
ONLY CREDITOR OPPOSES. - JUDGE REJECTS CONTENTIONS. The application of George James Finch, a farmer, of Northcote, for a discharge in bankruptcy was ; before Mr. , Justice Herdman in the Bankruptcy Court again yesterday. . Mr. Macnab, on behalf of the one creditor, opposed: the' application. ' The ' official assignee, W. S. Fisher, said he saw no reason for "withholding the, discharge. . Counsel, \ after referring to negotiations in regard to property, between bankrupt and his client, said ho opposed th© appli> cation because bankrupt allegedly had been guilty of rash and hazardous specu* lation and bad put the V creditor.; to ..unnecessary expense -in getting him out of the property. - ' ' His Honor said that was not ground for opposing i the , discharge. .%:■ Ho was bound to .take . into . consideration the , report of the official assignee, who .had assured him the man had not : 'been guilty of {dishonesty. i Rash anid 1 hazardous. speculation was always a matter of degree.
