A meeting of the Tauranga Citrus and Fruitgrowers' Association was held this afternoon, Mr, J. H. Davidson presiding. A motion wa* passed asking the executive committee to '■ formulate a ' scheme for establishing a trading association. It was decided that all growers be asked to supply the secretary with, the quantity of lemons shipped to. Auckland for the year ended Juhe 30 last; with a view to arriving at. ah estimate of the output from the local citrus orchards. .- , : ;' _ ; • •: The chairman, Mr. J. H. Davidson, reported on > various matters in connection with the meeting of the Auckland Citrus .. Growers' Association on Thursday -last, X■■''; when standardisation, as previously ad- . vocated; by Tauranga growers, was sub- ; mitted 'and unanimously adopted. Ha ■X; ; dealt in '} detail with other matters consid- . ered by the .meeting in Auckland,** and K /stated; that the citrus exhibit at the Auckland Winter Siaow was one of the features of the exhibition. He also referred to the' , high quality of Tauranga lemons that' •were being marketed. • ■ !
