CLAIM OF DISCOVERY.
A. and N.Z. July 20. ■ Mr. William Quinn, an Invercargil! merchant, who has just returned from a visit to the East, says that Chinese officials in Peking claim that the Chinese discovered Australia 2000 years ago. Tliey base the claim • on a book, "Classic of Mountain and Flood," in the archives of China.
