ANCIENT GREEK MEDICINE.

"A -popular lecture on "Ancient Greek Medicine" will be given at the meeting of the Auckland Institute at St. Andrew's Hall, Symonds Street, on Monday evening by Mr. Kenneth Mackenzie. The lecturer will briefly review the medical lore of primitive peoples and of the most ancient civilisations. He will deal with the temple medicine of the early Greeks, the work of the School of Hippocrates in the classic period, its continuation in the schools of Egypt and Italy, the decadence of medicine in the medieval period, and the triumph of the Greek teachers at the Renaissance.
