THE SEASON'S PRODUCTION.

Taken on a quantity basis, the butter exports «how an increase of 23.52 per cent., as compared with the '■ 1821-1922 season, while cheese shows a decredso- of 7.45 per cent. During the twelve months ended June 30. the Taranaki* Producers' Works at Moturoa, through -which all North Taranaki dairy produce is shipped, handled ' 258,441 boxes of butter and 135,1550 crates of cheese, 'as compared with. 201,133 boxes of butler and 146,237 . crate 3 of cheese for the- preceding .year, an increase of 57,308 boxes of butter and a decrease of 10,887 crates of cheese. Butter in store at the ':? end of - June amounted to 12,013 boxes, as compared with 13,935 at the end, of last' season; while there was only 178. crates ■of cheese in store, as compared with 19,832. at the find of last season, the-difference, being largely attributable -to the fact that during the season shipping has "been more regular. -', • ' ... .',:... ;., ',. •',. ... . ";, Prospects for the coming season . look good, at-.-the majority of factories, anticipate increased supplies, several enlarging their factories in anticipation,, so as to'be able to tope with additional'supply. '
