FUTURE POLICY ; SUSPECTED
By Telegraph—Press Association Copyright. A. and N.Z. PARIS. July 18.
Although deploring the many concessions made by France, the newspapers express general satisfaction : that peace has been reached between : the ' Allies and Turkey ; at Lausanne.
The Echo Nationale, however, is of opinion that . Turkish independence will not, last long, and that the old guardianship :>vill soon be replaced by possibly Russia or Germany. It declares that when the -Allies evacuate the Dardanelles the Turks will begin a policy on which neither France nor Britain can congratulate themselves. .
