'. ,' It was reported that only one tender for the Mill Road contract had been received, and as this was not considered satisfactory, it was agreed that tender* should again be called at a later date. Meanwhile authority was given to make temporary repair* to the road, which i* in a had condition. - A discussion took place in regard to the blocking of the boat entrance to Awaros Creek, and it was decided to send a protest to the Railway Department, The delay in the return of the petition in connection with the- electric light scheme was criticised, and it was agreed to ask the Government engineer to return the fictition as early as possible in order that he scheme may go forward.
