PASSAGES NOW BOOKED.
NEW ZEALAND FOOTBALLERS. EXPLANATION OF DELAY. . Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 7.15 p.m.) . SYDNEY. May 11. The secretary of the New South Wales Football Association has mad© an explanation in connection with the complaint by the council of the New Zealand Association that no passages had been secured for the Dominion team to leave for Sydney on May 18. He says he sent a cheque to the Union, Steam Ship Company for the full amount of the. passages. The delay was due to- a misapprehension, but the New Zealand managers had already secured berths, for ■which settlement would be made. when the team arrived at Sydney. r The Union j Company has reserved berths for the team in the Marama, which leaves Wellington on May 18. Officials of the New South Wales Association* consider it would have been wiser -if the New Zealand body had consulted them before airing a supposed grievance through the press. **>
