Huntly was mad© to the Waikato Hospital Board yesterday by a, delegation representing the Huntly Medi-. cat Association. The speakers pointed out j that there was no place m New Zealand! that required a hospital so much j as Huntly. which was an important nidus- j trial centre where accidents frequently occurred. There had been'; great delays in the past in getting serious accident cases to Hamilton. ■ - The chairman of the board, Mr J. 1. Bailev explained that the board had been hampered in its . efforts to comply with the Huntlv people's wishes owing to lack of money.*' The board had every sympathy with the proposal, and he assured the delegation that a hospital would be built at Huntly within -years. Steps were now being taken to borrow money for the purpose. \ ■>.; ' . . The secretary was later authorised to take steps to/raise the necessary loan.
