HEREDITARY TITLES.
BILL FOR ABOLITION.
A. and N.Z. LONDON, May 3. The House of Commons read a first time a Bill introduced by Mr. A. A. W. H. Ponsonby, Labour member for Brightside, to terminate hereditary titles, introduced under the ten minutes' rule. The BiH allows the holder to renounce a title, ! and no heir or heiress born after the Act | is passed shall be allowed to succeed to a I peerage.
