Commander Ertz, Lieutenants Humphreys and Mullen, of the United States patrol vessel Ontario, ; who attended, were ■ introduced to many of the ,/■; guests during the course of the" afternoon. . . ■ Their Excellencies received their guests on : the lawn, which presented' a - bright v and animated appearance, ' the sunshine and ' brilliantly-blooming flowers giving a touch of- almost summer-time warmth and beauty to the scene.
