CO-RESPONDENT'S SUICIDE.
COAL-GAS POISONING.
WORRIED BY PROCEEDINGS.

Albert James Goding, 43 years of age, living with his' wife and \ four - children at 86, Dundas Street, was found dead in the kitchen at his home at 6.30 this morning. At the inquest Ellen Goding, wife of the deceased, : said that he : had. been wording about a divorc© case in which he was ■ a co-respondent and had made some > remarks about doing away with himseif. The witness saw her husband alive for the last time about seven yesterday and,;- on going into the kitchen this morning, - she found him lying on the floor with a gas tube in his mouth and a coat over his head. The gas was turned on and life was extinct. The witness was going to commence divorco proceedings against the deceased after his : own case was over. Elizabeth Jane Stewart said she had known deceased for' the last six years and; saw him at her home in Grange Street last night. < He seemed worried over the divorce case which was pending. Her husband was taking proceedings in which the deceased was co-respondent. He said he would see witness again. She was living apart from her husband. The coroner returned a verdict of suicide by coal-gas poisoning. "
