SPIRITUAL HEALING.
MR. HICKSON'S MISSION. MANY CURES CLAIMED. !A. and N.Z. - SYDNEY, May 2. The committee in charge of the Hickson spiritual healing mission at Grafton ! state that 139 cases are reported cured or definitely relieved. They carefully investigated these., and found all genuine. Others might be described as improved, but it is too early to speak definitely. It is claimed that the cures in' lude lame, crippled, semi-blind, and sufferers from various chronic disease?. A crippled man aged 95 is now able to walk. Several thousand are undergoing treatment at Newcastle. Among the cures j claimed are a deaf and dumb man and i a woman. Two paralytics abandoned their ! crutches.
The bishops and clergy intend to con- | tinue Mr. Hickson's methods after his I departure, with a view to sustaining the | revived faith in spiritual healing. Mr. Hickson will visit New Zealand at I the eud of bis Australian tour.
