VOLUNTARY HOSPITALS.
EXPENSIVE ALTERNATIVE. ; A. and N.Z. LONDON, April 29. ; Mr. Lloyd George, speaking at Manchester ill support of an effort to liquidate the debt on the local hospital, said that ! if the voluntary hospital system broke i down the cost of hospitals would be increased threefold. Eminent doctors would not give their services without fee, and the country would lose what money could not- buyhuman sympathy.
