WAIHI GRAND JUNCTION. PAST MONTH'S RETURN. The Waihi Grand Junction Gold Company, during tho period ended March. 24, crushed 6480 tons of ore for a return of "16300z. of gold and 44110z. of silver. The tonnage crushed would have been greater but for two breakdowns of the crusher motor. The battery is now crushing at the rate of 8000 tone a month. The following information has been cabled to the head office of the company in london:—No. 10 level, Empire lode: The east drive has been extended to 246 ft. Prom 210 ft. to 246 ft the average width of the drive ia 4ift., and the value £1 6s 9d per ton. No. 10 level, Empire lode. The west drive has been extended to 310 ft. From 207 ft. to 260 ft the average width of the drive is 6ft. and the value 17e lid per ton. From 260 ft. to 292 ft. the average width of th© reef is sjft and the value £1 7s 6d per ton. No. 1 shaft is down 68ft. below No. 10 level.
