INSURANCE CO.'S PICNIC.
The office and field staff of the Temperance and. General Life Assurance Company held a picnic at Motutapu this ' week. The fine weather made the outing a most enjoyable one. During the day a programme of athletic events was decided, and resulted in a number of interesting races. The. results were:—Married ladies' lace, 50yde.: Mr 3. Whyman, 1; : Mrs. Hodson, 2. , Junior office staff, 75yds.: Miss Morton, 1. Senior office staff, 75yde.: Miss A. Nairn, 1. Superintendents' race, 100 yds.; Mr. Whyman, 1. T. and G. championship, 100 yds.: Mr. Hanlon, 1. Visitors' handicap, 100 yds.: Mr. Gillespie, 1. Men's race, , over 45, 75yds'.: Mr. Minns, 1. Tug-o'-war: Agents beat superintendents. Ladies' tug-o'-war: Miss Scruby's team, 1. ■':>■■
