CANADIAN CATTLE.
SHIPMENTS TO BRITAIN. EFFECT UPON PRICES. A. and N.Z. LONDON. April 1. Arrangements have been completed for the reception of Canadian store cattle at Birkenhead, Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff, Dundee, and Bristol. It is estimated that 20,000 head will arrive in April and May. It is expected that this will depress the meat prices.. Canada is also developing trade in high-class chilled meat, which is declared to be superior to that of- the Argentine.
