N.S.W. TELEPHONE SERVICE. QUICKER TO VISIT CITY. A. and N.K. . , SYDNEY. April 2. Discussing a motion at the Commercial Travellers' Association Conference in favour of improved telephone facilities, speakers declared that the New South Wales service was the worst in the world. One said he was living a few miles from Sydney, and he could : gee quicker communication by visiting the city .than by using the telephone. He estimated that six months' calls cost him the high rate of 6£d each.
