FAILURE OF CONDOMINIUM.

FULL BRITISH CONTROL URGED.

A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE, March 22. A deputation representing the Presbyterian Church waited on the Prime Minister and asked the Commonwealth Government to negotiate with the Imperial Government with a view to Britain taking over the control of the New Hebrides, and ending the present unsatisfactory dual-control system. t Mr. Bruce replied that at the present time there was not the slightest chance of France agreeing to Britain taking over control. He would refer the matter to the British Government and ascertain if * more satisfactory working dual system could be arranged.
