[BY TELEGRAPH.— OWN CORRESPONDENT.] SILVERDALE. Tuesday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. . held the first sale in the yards erected by the Progressive League on February 27, at whioh over £500 worth of stock were sold. The, annual meeting of the Silverdale Progressive League was held on March 7. The following officers were elected:.— President, Mr. W. F. Green ; secretary, Mr. F. Bartlett; treasurer, >Mr. J. Curtv. Appreciative reference was made to trie good work of the retiring president, Mr. T. Trebilcoe.
