AUCKLAND PRESBYTERY.

TAKAPUNA BOUNDARIES.

The Auckland Presbytery met last evening, the moderator, the Rev. I). C. Herron, presiding. The question of revising the Takapuna parish boundaries was discussed, the Rev. I) J. Albert, of Takapuna, stating that one of the matters to be considered was the question of extending the parish to the North. A commission consisting of the Revs. G. Inglis, E. 0. Pcmy, and C. .1. Tocker, and Mr. E. A. Rimmer, was appointed to go into the matter. The visiting commissioners reported on the position of Dargaville, enlarging on tho difficulties facing the minister and the congregations. The commissioners recommended that the Augmentation Fund Committee be asked to assist the parish by making a grant of £50 toward the present indebtedness, and a further £50 for two or more years toward the minister's stipend. The recommendations were adopted. Condolatory references were made in connection with the deaths of the Rev. H. W. Johnston, formerly of Ellerslio, the Rev. John Steele, and Mr. J. W. Stewart, for long associated* with St. Stephen's parish. 11 was announced that the 80th anniversary of St. Andrew's congregation would j be celebrated on May 8.
