THE ORPHANAGE FIRE.
PUBLIC MEETING TO-DAY
A public meeting in connection with the Takapuna Orphanage fire will bo held in the Chamber of Commerce to-day, commencing at 1.45 p.m. The Hon. E. W. Alison will take the chair, and the following will be the speakers—Sir Edwin Mitchelson, M.L.C., Rev. W. G. Monckton, Chancellor Holbrook, and Mr. A. M. Gould, Mayor of Takapuna, and Mr. R. McVeagh.
