♦ GREEK TRANSPORT LOST. FOUNDERS AFTER EXPLOSION. 150 GO DOWN WITH SHIP. STORM HINDERS RESCUE. By Tcltfrraph—Press Association — (Received 4.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. ATHENS. March 11. The transport Alexandre, bound to Piraeus with men on leave, foundered in a storm, and 150 of the company were drowned. The loss of the vessel was due to a violent explosion aboard. A furious storm hampered rescue work. Only three out of 12 military officers were saved.
