OPOTIKI DISTRICT.

[BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] OPOTIKI. Monday. A comprehensive "farm-to-farm" canvass of the Opotiki, Kutarere, and Waiotahi districts has just been completed by the provincial organiser of the Farmers' Union, Mr. L. H. McAlpine. So successful has the canvass been that only six of the total number of -suppliers to the Opotiki, Waiotahi, and Cheddar Valley factories have refrained from joining the -barmen. Union. The organiser's propaganda was enthusiastically received and the efforts of tho union toward attaining an agricultural bank and a dairy produce control pool were responsible for the securing of the large membership.
