EMPIRE SETTLEMENT.

♦ MISSION TO AUSTRALIA. A. and N.Z. LONDON, March 8. The migration delegation is leaving Liverpool on March 24, and will arrive in Sydney early in May. It will visit all the States, and consult with all the Governments and all bodies interested in labour migration and land settlement. It is expected that the tour will occupy six months.

It is officially explained that the sole purpose is to find out what Australia's views really are, not to state what British migrationists think Australia should do. The delegation will have no proposals, but will confine itself to inquiry as to the manner in which Australia desires to cooperate with the Overseas Settlement Committee in carrying out the provisions of the Empire Settlement Act.
