An official message from Constantinople states that the Angora Assembly, by a large majority, rejected the Lausanne •Treaty. The Assembly's resolution demands a settlement of the Mosul question within a fixed period, full safeguards for Turkey's v^a ' rights of independence in financial, economic, and administrative domains, and the immediate evacuation of . occupied Turkish territories upon the iigning of peace. The Assembly passed a vote of confidence in the Government, and authorised it to continue the. peace negotiations.. • line decision, which wipes out all the work done at Lausanne and demands new ■ negotiations, based on further concessions, ins reached after a final heated debate which lasted for twelve hours. After the Assembly had voted against , the Lausanne Treaty a Note to the Allies vis drafted requesting an early reply. \ The French Foreign Office announces that Ismet Pasha has been given full power by the Angora Government to continue negotiations.
