There was again steady demand for inE vestment stocks on the Auckland charemarket" yesterday. In Government securities War Loans, 1927, changed hands at £97 10s, with further buyers at same price and no sellers. Soldiers' Loans (bonds) were done ,at £101 ss, more being sought at 2a 6d less, no late sellers quoting. Inscribed Stock in the same loan had inquiry at £100 10s, holders asking £101. Inscribed Stock, 1927, cold at £97 10s, at which figure there were further buyers and no sellers. In local bodies' debentures City of Auckland 5i per cents, wore looked for up "to £97 be, sellers £98. In banks New Zealands had sale at 575, late sellers 57s 3d, buyers 56s 9d. Nationals were wanted at £6 7s, sellers £6 8s 6d. For New South Wales buyers were offering £37 and for Unions of Australia £13 18s, no sellers responding. In insurances Nationals had demand at 73s 6d, and New Zealands at 27s 6d, with sellers of the latter at 27s 9d. South British were offered at 37s 9d, no buyers quoting. Other lines had sustained inquiry, but there were no transactions. In mining Waihis sold freely at from 29s 6d to 295, with late sellers asking 29s 3d and buyers offering 28s 6d. Grand Junctions, 9s 2d, had buyers at 83 7d. Moanataiaris were wanted at 3s Bd, sellers 4s 2d.
