FOOTBALL MATCH FIRE.

OUTBREAK ON A STAND. GAME NOT INTERRUPTED. A. and N.Z. LONDON. March 4. At Liverpool, the Bolton Wanderers' match, at which there were 15,000 spectators, was played under remarkable conditions. During the second half a stand on which 1000 people were sitting caught fire. The flames gained rapidly, but prompt action by the officials and police prevented a panic, the people being carefully shepherded off the burning structure. Smoke drove thousands of people from other stands, and seriously affected some players. The brigade fought the fire from the touch-lino while the game ' proceeded without interruption.
