The charge arose owing to Lovegrove being in company with a prohibited man and calling out a warning to the latter when lie saw a constable approaching just as the prohibited one got on to licensed premises. ~ The magistrate said obstruction was clear and wilful. In his opinion the man who assisted prohibited persons to get drink was the worst offender under th« Licensing Act, as this offence was on* of the hardest to detect.
