Sir Joseph Ward was waited upon this evening by electors from various parts of the district, who - requested him, in the interest of the Dominion, to become a candidate for the Tauranga seat. Sir Joseph, in reply, said that if there was a general desire he would be disposed to favourably consider placing his services at the disposal of the people. MR. WILFORD'S CHOICE. Eames, who contested the Napier seat 20 years ago, and who now resides in this constituency, states that he intends to stand as an Independent Reform candidate for the Tauranga seat.
