BODY FOUND AT DEVONPORT. The body of a ward-room steward frctt|||| H.M.S. Chatham, Hubert Charles Chinnery, was found floating off the Devon:/ .;/ port promenade, on.the eastern side of the x / Victoria. Wharf, at 8 a.m. on Saturday.' ' From the position of the body it is eon- -,- sidered that death was due to drowning, | but beyond that nothing is known as to { v?|j the cause of the fatality. ' * Chinnery was a single man, 55 years, of %'. age, and joined, the Chatham when s«« was appointed to the New Zealand station. Prior to that he had lived with . relatives in London.
