Ltd.. report having sold at the request of the mortgages under , conduct of the • registrar of the Supreme Court, a farm of 89J , acres at Clevedon for £1400 ■ The Shortland Street property , which has for many years been occupied by the firm of Abel, Dykes, Ltd., was yesterday . offered for sale by Messrs. William A. Home. Ltd. Bidding commenced at £10,000 and rose to £12,860, when the property was withdrawn, the price having Just failed to reach the reeerve. There has, however, been private inquiry since. The property has a frontage to Shortland Street ox 45ft. 2im., and a depth of 98ft - Sir. An area of Crown land comprising 199 acres, .five miles from Putaruru, was sold by the same firm for £875. .
