Mandeno,:electrical engineer to the Tauranga Borough Council' at the .conference of the 'New Zealand Society of Engineers.' During the discussion on the respective merits of ■!';. generation "of electric power from a; steam-power station near ■'{•;'Huntly >as against transmission. fromArapuni, doubt was expressed by several' speaks as to the probability of there being sufficient ■' demand for current to utilise the amount : of plant proposed to 'be installed there ' by the Public Works ..
