SUCCESSFUL FILIBUSTER.
-•'■'; ... ♦ 'SENATORS capitulate. NO VOTE ON SUBSIDY BILL. BLOCKED FOR THE SESSION. By Telegraph— Preos Association— (Received 7.40 p.m.) . . A. and N.Z. WASHINGTON. Feb. 21. . The filibuster in the Senate ended late to-night only after the supporters of the Ship Subsidy Bill agreed not to call the Bill for consideration, and thus permit the Senate to consider other business , and not lose valuable time. The impasse regarding the Ship Subsidy Bill now remains where it was before without any hope of the taking of a vote in the present session. Mr. W. E. Borah made a long speech ; to-day and when he grew- tired Mr. H. C. Lodge took the floor. One of the opponents of the Bill who was to have taken the floor to-night promised to consume all the night in an interesting account of how Tutenkhamun's tomb was discovered, but the Senators were saved the pain of this learned disquisition by an agreement to adjourn and reconvene to-morrow to consider the Appropriation Bill. =====
