AUCKLAND DISTRICT FUNDS. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the Ancient Order of Foresters in the Auckland district was held yesterday, the District Chief Ranger, Mr. C. H. Meek, presiding. , . , . • The report stated the financial \ operations of the society during the year had again been very satisfactory. The contributions of members to the Sick and Funeral Fund amounted to £4153. Sick pay amounted to 52749, an . increase ;of ?*'• Funeral allowances in respect of i, men ?° e ™. and 11 wives totalled £588. Maternity bonuses in respect of 185 births am;>unted to £1110. Interest on ■ *«^ c SS 1 ulftted Bick and funeral fund of _i.04.000 was sufficient to meet all claims on the fund. Weir (Ponsonby); District Sub-Chief Ranger, Mr. W. Knaggs (Bayswater); district treasurer, Mr. E. Bentley (Devonport); district senior beadle, Mr. L. Hemming (Devonport); district junior beadle, Mr. J- P. McPhail (Birkenhead); district . secretary, Mr. R. Darlow (Birkenhead). The following resolution was telegraphed to Lord Jellicoe: "This meeting desires to tender to King George through the Governor-General an expression of its continued loyalty to His Majesty and the Empire."
