PUKEKOHE HIGH SCHOOL.

The Board of Managers of the Pukekohe Technical High School report that the attendance at the school on the opening day was very good, 100 new entrants being enrolled. The staff had been strengthened by the addition of two new teachers, Messrs. J. A. Hodges and J. B. Hogg, who are specialists in commercial subjects and agriculture respectively. The examination successes for the past year included the following:—Public Service Junior Typists'. Examination, 1; Partial Teacher's "D" Certificate, 1; Matriculation, 7; Public Service Entrance, 4. Thirty-eight pupils gained senior free places by passing the Schools' Internal Examination. The difficulty of accommodating students who live outside of Pukekohe is great, and m the near future a campaign ;is to be started to ' raise. funds fur a hostel.
