DIVORCE UNDER SUSPICION.
9i ~" KING'S PROCTOR INTERVENES. ALLEGATION OF CONNIVANCE. A. and , N.Z. LONDON, Feb. . 11. The King's Proctor intervened in a strange divorce case in which a schoolmaster named George Lantsberry obtained a decree nisi in 1921, the co-respondent being Francis Hamilton, an ex-priest. The Proctor now alleges chat the husband connived at his wife's misconduct with Hamilton, and that at an interview between the three the question was raised who would have the woman, and she ohose Hamilton. Her husband ultimately persuaded his wife to ask Hamilton to come to their home in Manchester and live with her. . Hamilton obeyed, and the three lived in the same house. Mrs. Lantsberry gave evidence that when Hamilton came to the house her husband greeted him with, " Well, Frank, you have come to take my place." She declared that she was but a child when the incident occurred. The hearing has been adjourned. ?
