PIGEON RACING.
WEST AUCKLAND CLUB.# The West Auckland Flying Club flew their first young bird race for the 1923 season from Huntly, an air-lino distance of 54 miles. The birds were liberated in a strong southerly breeze, and a good velocity was recorded The winning bird was Flying Fox, owned by Mr. R. S. Hutton. .. The winning bird attained 1135 yds per minute.
