A "DANISH" LOTTERY.

PROSPECTUS IN DOMINION.

An Invercargill teacher has received through the mail the prospectus of what purports to be a v large Danish lottery. The lottery shows all the characteristics of those which were run in Germany in the pre-war days, and which sedulously canvassed the people of the Dominion, says the Southland Times. The prospectus for this Danish lottery was posted from Harburg. It is believed that either this was done because the postal charges would thereby be reduced or because this is actually a German concern operating from Denmark in the . hope of getting foreign money into the country.' It is possible, too, that the circulation of these documents is illegal, and that the despatch of money to the lottery might involve the sender with the officers of the law in New Zealand. - , '• »•
