MAN OF 43 CHARGED.

.*',. LONDON. Jan. 31. Walter Francis Tatam, °aged 43, the man detained in connection with the attempt to poison Sir William Horwood, chief of the metropolitan police, will appear at the Bow Street Court to-morrow on a charge of attempted murder. He is described as 'well-connected. He resides with his parents at Balham. His father is a retired West End business man of considerable means.. Tatam is engaged to be married to a London woman. Inquiries into the sending of packets of chocolates have been continued since the attempted poisoning. Two Scotland Yard detectives watched Tatam's house through the curtains of a shop on the opposite sidn of the street.
