ACCIDENTS IN AUCKLAND.
MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED.
COLLISION WITH A LORRY.
A collision between a motor-bicycle and side-car and a motor-lorry, resulting in the rider of the bicycle, Mr. Alexander Callander, of Rangiateaßoadj Epsom, being severely injured about the head, occurred on the Kohimarama Road about five o'clock yesterday afternoon. Mr. Callander, who is a married man aged 33, is a carpenter employed by Mr. E. A. Pearce,- contractor, and was returning from work at the time. His motor-cycle collided with a motor-lorry travelling in the , oppqsite direction, and turned completely over, throwing him on his head. He was ! later admitted rto the hospital. At a late hour last night his condition was reported as satisfactory. A railway shunter Mr. Richard Murray, who resides at Parnell, was injured while shunting on the King's Wharf; yesterday morning, . being crushed between two trucks. He was admitted to the hos{)ital, where it was found that his right eg had been fractured.
