PICNICS AND EXCURSIONS.
y. An enjoyable picnic was ; held ;at the Henderson Domain on Saturday by the employees and friends of ; Messrs. Dearsly's, Limited. Four char-a-bancs were engaged to take the .party to the Domain. A'short programme of sports was held, the events being keenly contested. Every child was | the recipient of a ,toy and a plentiful pupI ply of sweets. After tea, Mr. Dearsly was j thanked and received * three hearty cheers .for having provided the pleasant- outing. ;v;; <-i The Auckland •; Tramways Recreation Club will hold an excursion to Buckland's Beach next Sunday.. The Auckland Bakers and Pastrycooks' Union will hold a picnic at -the learner beach on, Saturday. The Northern Steamship Company will i run an excursion .to", Warkworth? on; Satur-' i day, the steamer returning on Sunday."-■'-[
