Soldiers' y Loans, bonds and inscribed stock, were -wanted at £100 10s, no holders quoting. >, New Zealand Inscribed Stock had sustained inquiry, but the only seller was for the 1938 issue at £97 10s, for which buyers offered £97 ss. Inquiry was maintained for local bodies' debentures, but there were no sellers at last call. In banks Nationals sold 'at £6 'more being sought at £6,7 a 6d, sellers £6 9s. Unions of Australia sold at £13 17s, with further buyers at £13 15s,' and no late sellers. New South Wales had demand at £37, and P. and O.'a.at £14. In insurances Nationals at '73s were wanted at 7fs, New Zealand's had buyers at 28s Id, sellers 28s 6d. South British were looked for at 37s 9d, sellers 38b 6d. Standards were ion offer at 355. In shipping Northern Steams (paid up) were done at 13s 3d. ; In miscellaneous lines Asso- ' ciated Oils (contrib.) had sale at 9a i 6d, H.M. Arcades (pref.) at 20s, and Wilsons Cements at 235. In mining Waihia sold at 325, with late buyers; at same price, and ■' sellers asking. 32s 6d. Grand Junctions were offered at 9s Id, buyers 9s. For Moanataiariif buyers were offering ,3s 9d, sellers holding for 4s 3d. Ti'Mi -.
