RAILWAY MANAGEMENT.
SALARY OF £5000 FOR EXPERT. South Australia is looking forward to the development if her railways. The Government. has . just brought from America a Chief Railway Commissioner at £5000 a year, a „ sum far in excess of that paid the Chief Commissioner in New South Wales, whose - : railways are the greatest of . the States. The new Commissioner, M. W. A. Webb, has completed an inspection of the s South Australian railways, and there is a feeling v that changes are in the air. :;
