Monday. , Business in the grocery trade .shows a much better tone. .After A period in which matters were fairly dull the prices of several commodities have altered. During the last few days all brands of tea have advanced-by 4d per lb. and bulk tea is very hard to get under anything from 2s 6d to 3s. The price of cheese has firmed very considerably. Dairy cheese is .quoted at 9£d wholesale, instead, of Bid, and factory at from lOd to 10£ d wholesale. " '" The indications are that .butter may go up again. One firm has notified a rise of Id per lb in, bacon to-day, 1 and probably this will soon be general.
