For whitening arid softening the skin and removing tan and sunburn there is no better preparation '; than lettuce cream. To make the cream take on* or more heads of lettuce and scald them with boiling water. . Allow them to stand' for fifteen minutes, then pour off the water, place the lettuces in an earthenware bow! and ; pound to; a pulp. Then strain through a cloth.
