The third rot»d of the club championships under the auspices of the Auckland Cricket Association, which commenced on December 8, will be concluded to-day. At the call of time Parnell had lost two good wickets for 75, so that the remaining batsmen have a fairly hard task in front of them if the North Shore total is to bo passed. On a good wicket, however, the chances of victory for each team eeem fairly even. In the EdenUniversity match, at No. 2 wicket, Eden Park, University have to paea Eden's good score of 298. The University batsmen have made * good commencement, and two wickets are down for 102. R. Garrard. 45, and Player. 14, being the not out men. If the team plays to its true form the result should be a close one; On the last day Ponsonby scored 223 against Grafton at No. 1 Eden Park, and Grafton, after making a promising start, lost their last two wickets cheaply, and the score now stands at five wickets for 113. This means that Grafton has scored slightly under half the necessary runs with half the team out.
