KIRKWOOD WINS TOURNEY.
CAJLIFORNIAN CHAMPIONSHIP A. and N.Z. SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 10. J. H. Kirkwood, the Australian professional golfer, has just won his first tournament in the United States by defeating Smith in the play-off for the open championship of California. His score was 77 and Smith's was 79.
